Khulekani Cele, a multimedia fine artist was born in KwaZulu-Natal at Mpumalanga Town Ship, Hammarsdale, South Africa in 1993. Cele has an Honours Degree in Visual Art. He has always recognized his need to be creative and to pursue this as a profession.

Cele has participated in 20 group exhibitions. In 2016 he was selected as part of the top 100 SASOL New Signatures Art Competition, and he was the semi-finalist in the SA Taxi Foundation Art Award. His work is part of the ArtBank collection for 2018 and 2021. In 2020 he was in the Bremer Kunststipendium art residency in Germany, Bremen. In 2021 he was a second prize winner of the Mycreation SA March Competition.

Cele currently lives and works in Durban.
