MY STORY:
I was born in Masvingo, a small city in
Zimbabwe. My career as an artist began
way before i was born, as my father was
an artist and architecture. Sadly, i never
got to see him work as he passed on
when i was only 3. The artworks he left
behind greatly motivated me to grab my
pencil and get to work from a young
age. I would take them to school and
brag about them to my friends, which
let me to lose all of them. Throughout
primary and secondary school, i was
always the best artist in school, mostly
focusing on cartoons and cars. This
proved to hinder my progress as had no
motivation to improve because i was
always the best.
In my first year, at college, where i was
studying Electrical Engineering, i met a
friend who was way better than me.
This was my turning point, as he
inspired me to improve and become the
best version of me. I started taking art
seriously, and my improvement has
been astronomical eversince. I got into
wildlife art in 2018, and this has been
my trade eversince. Contrary to popular
beleif, art and Engineering were
complementary, and i would use art to
cool down from the stresses associated
with engineering. In 2020, i then
decided to specialise in computer
programming, then also further
specialised in Artificial Intelligence and
data analytics. At around this time, I
also realised that the only way to keep
my passion (art) alive, was to be a
freelance programmer and a full time
artist, a decision which got me criticized
a lot by friends and family alike, but it's
a decision that i'm proud of and don't
regret.
